Lochend
Lochend offers the visitor to Orkney first class self-catering accommodation within the parish of Stenness - a World Heritage site.
Situated in Stenness Village, Lochend has been awarded Scottish Tourist Board 4 Crown grading offering a superior standard of accommodation. Lochend's first-floor accommodation is ideally placed for visitors wishing to visit the monuments of Maeshowe, the Standing Stones of Stenness and the Ring of Brodgar, all of which are within walking distance.
The town of Stromness, with its hotels, restaurants, museums, shops, leisure facilities and golf course, is only 4 miles away from Lochend. The property's position on the main Kirkwall to Stromness Bus Route allows easy access to public transport and this makes Lochend the ideal base to further explore the islands.
For the fishing enthusiast, Stenness is quite rightly regarded as a fisherman's paradise with the Stenness and Harray lochs both within easy walking distance of Lochend. Local boat hire is available and further information can be supplied on request.
Lochend has a roof garden offering visitors spectacular views across the Stenness Loch towards the Ring of Brodgar, the Standing Stones of Stenness and Maeshowe.
